The number one pastime for humanity in February is scrolling Pinterest for Valentine’s Day ideas. Okay that might not actually be true. It’s probably more like shoveling snow... But while most are googling “Best V-Day Gifts For Boyfriend/Girlfriend/Fiancé/Husband/Wife” (hopefully not all at the same time), we’re over here typing in “What To Get My Cat For Valentine’s Day”.
Let’s be honest. We really can't love any human as much as we love our non-humans. I’ll be the first to admit, if the house is on fire, there's a 75% chance I’ll make sure Colonel Whiskers gets out alive, before I remember that my significant other is an insanely heavy sleeper and probably didn’t hear the fire alarm... What?? He’d do the same thing! That’s what happens when you have unconditional love for your pet!
February is for lovers, pet Lovers, That is.
Featured Tee: The Fortune Teller T-Shirt by Lisa Parker
First up, we’re hosting a pet photo contest on our Facebook page leading up to (and ending on) Love Your Pet Day on February 20th (for more details head to our page).
Then of course there may be an animal themed sale at some point during the month, BUT no one can know for sure unless you're signed up for our newsletter...
We’ll also be telling a few heartwarming pet tails (see what I did there?) to keep the winter blues away, AND every Friday in February we’ll be featuring an adorable and ADOPTABLE animal, because there is no greater act of love to an animal than rescuing them and giving them a warm fur-ever home.

On that note let's introduce our first available bachelor…
Meet Buddy! He’s a southern gentleman just looking for a nice place to lay his hat.
He’s also got an eye for fashion if we do say so ourselves...
Buddy likes long walks (possibly on the beach), playing in the snow, and riding in the car. If you like traveling, sounds like Buddy would be a great adventure companion! If you or someone you know would like to know more about Buddy, please check out helpinghoundsdogrescue.org, or visit their Facebook page to see their recent post on Buddy! Let's help Buddy find his Valentine this February!
